Frequently Asked Questions
This section will grow as the site matures. If your question isn't answered here, contact:
Q: How often is the comic updated?
A: Every friday when I'm actually updating it. Lately, once a month if I'm lucky.
Q: How do you create your comic? What program(s) do you use?
A: Typically, I plot a storyline, script the dialogue, sketch thumbnails, pencil the page, ink the page, scan it, color and composite 3D elements on the computer. I use Maya for 3D, and Photoshop and Painter for colors.
Q: Can I use your art for my sig tags?
A: All content, including every image on my site is Copyright Adam Byrne. I do let people use my art, and art on Burn Comics for personal use, such as Sig Tags (or whatever those crazy kids are calling it these days) under the following conditions:
1) All use is for personal, non profit use only.
2) Credit is clearly given to Adam Byrne for the art, and the corresponding website where the art originated (www.blueabyss.com or www.burncomics.com).
3) If you come across someone using my art in a way that violates the above rules, please refer them to this FAQ.
4) I reserve the right to revoke any permission given to use my art at any time.
Q: Do you do commissioned art? How much do you charge?
A: Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time to do commisions.
Q: Do you work at Blizzard? OMFGWTFLOL!!!!1!!11!
A: Yes. Go buy World of Warcraft.
Q: Are you a Furry?
A: NO. I've been drawing cat/animal people since the days of Thundercats and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Most of the characters in this comic aren't anthropomorphic animals anyway. I don't want to insult the Furry community, but that whole thing is too mixed up with the perverted side that I don't want to be associated with. And for the record, Pyre's a were-cat.
Q: Are you the same Adam "Pyre" referenced in 10kcommotion?
A: Yes, I'm good friends with the creator of 10k, and thus we both play roles in each other's comics.
Q: Are you going to print this comic?
A: Most likely, yes. I'd like to build up a good body of work and readership before I print, though.
